Alaska: Thorne Bay Man Arrested, Charged With Murder; Another Arrest Pending - Late Thursday night Alaska State Troopers arrested Brian James Radel, age 24, of Thorne Bay for the alleged murder of Lauri Waterman of Craig. Radel was charged with Murder in the First Degree. Other charges of conspiracy, burglary, kidnapping and tampering with physical evidence are pending. - More...

photosAlaska: ADF&G Commissioner Kevin C. Duffy Retires From State Service - On Thursday, Kevin C. Duffy, Commissioner of Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G), announced that he is retiring effective December 31, 2004 to accept a position as Executive Director of the At-Sea Processors Association (APA). The APA represents U.S.-flag catcher/processor vessels that operate in the Bering Sea.

"It has been an honor and my pleasure to serve the people of Alaska under Governor Frank Murkowski," said Commissioner Duffy. "ADF&G employees are extremely dedicated and talented professionals who make ADF&G an exceptional place to work.
