By Rick Grams

I can certainly relate to Ms. Flores' comments about second hand smoke in restaraunts around town. Back in 2004, there were several people in the community who tried to fix this problem through the regulatory process of government. You can even see my comments from that time here at http://www.sitnews.us/0304Viewpoints/031404_rick_grams.html.

We live in a slightly skewed society. We fight to save land, save the trees, save the fish and otherwildlife but for some reason we just cannot win the fight to save our lungs and long term health. There is nothing natural or logical about exposing others to second hand smoke.
