Viewpoints: Letters / Opinions Dave Kiffer Truckin' By Melissa Muller December 16, 2015Wednesday AM
Dave Kiffer hit all the high points with his recent column "Ktown Economy just keeps on Truckin'. With the state's economy going up in smoke, it's time to do more than straight thinking. There is a new high tide mark being set and Ketchikan needs to roll with it.
Ketchikan has always been fascinated with hydroponics so why not a "bong" gage next to the rain gauge? The hits just keep on coming! Or, Ketchikan, sealevel to some, but the highest port in Alaska, really! Let's put growth back in Ketchikan's economy. Perhaps something practical like waterproof jackets with special hoods-"rain tokes." It's definitely time to weed out the poor ideas and get into high gear. To paraphrase the Dead: "Ridin' that boat hopin' for some smoke, Ketchikan you're in my dreams!" Melissa MullerSt. Augustine, Florida
