Reply to Dr. IRS and the FairTax

Yet again, this senior propagandist attempts to utilize the IRS as a tool to deceptively try to sell us the awful FairTax.

The IRS has long had a program to try to reclassify many people as “employees” rather than as “independent contractors “ – IRS is not out to try to target the destruction of rural medical care, as Ms. Martin tries to deceive readers into believing. IRS may be correct – that would depend upon the facts in each case.

It is wrong for Ms. Martin to “use” our anger at IRS to sell us on the FairTax – but they would never allow the truth to get in the way of a good propaganda opportunity to sway their naïve, gullible, unsophisticated target audience.

Under the FairTax, medical costs (or insurance premiums) will rise by nearly the full amount of the 30% FairTax - see bit.ly/1ELKVqb

Ms. Martin implies their constant (false) claim that the FairTax “Abolishes the IRS”. That is only superficially true but substantively as false as can be – we will wind up with a NEW IRS (i.e., the STAA, which may audit consumers and require them to produce all of their FairTax receipts), AND the old IRS will surely return when Congress enacts a NEW Income Tax – see bit.ly/1xqIOTQ (this problem was also noted by Cato Institute’s Dan Mitchell - see bit.ly\1vNxnq3).
