Dr. IRS and the FairTax

“Calling Dr. IRS. You are needed for the Consultation meeting for John Doe." Sounds ridiculous yet the IRS could be the unseen ‘doctor’ determining your treatment plan. According to, “IRS War on Locum Tenens” (Ike Brannon), the IRS, fearful of underreporting of income, wants to end locum tenens, the practice of hospitals hiring doctors as independent contractors for short term periods of service rather than full-time employees.

Ending locum tenens raises the cost of hire since full-time employees often are on set payroll scale and eligible for benefits. It also limits care available in rural hospitals who use locum tenens firms to hire doctors for emergency situations or for specialized treatment in hospitals that cannot afford or attract some specialist. Doctors not wishing to work full-time (a reason many doctors join locum tenen firms) may drop out of the labor force.

This is a premier example of why the income tax must be replaced with the FairTaxHR25 which ends income tax and IRS. Business and medical decisions must be made based on what is best for industry and patient – not what meets the ever-changing tax code. FairTaxHR25 reduces tax fraud – not medical options.
