Re: Fire on the Dock

I agree with Darlene Guzman regarding
fire hazards on the wooden docks. I have witnessed many people
dropping burning cigarette butts on wood surfaces, dry or wet.
Her assessment of possible consequences of lost real estate and
merchandise is very real.
I would think that butt cans
of sand be placed in many convenient locations where fire is
a definite possibility might be an affordable and a practical
attempt to lessen the threat of a serious fire. But, who am I
to propose this? I'm not an elected official.
