RE: New berthing for cruise
ships

Having been born and raised in Ketchikan I just can't believe
that they are taking all the waterfront property for the cruise
ships. Did the people have a vote on this or was it dreamed up
by the people that like to look at the sides of cruise ships?
I think the appropriate place for them would be maybe off Cape
Chacon or Dahl Head. Like the fish the tourist will be ebbing
away also and Ketchikan will be stuck with a bunch of ugly docks
and piers to look at. I think they should be looking at another
industry that will benefit the working people of Ketchikan instead
of a bunch of Bahamian tourist traps.
