Ketchikan, Alaska - Sgt. Zack Pilcher who recently returned from his second tour of duty in Iraq in February, arrived in Ketchikan for a short visit with his parents Dan and Gigi Pilcher and other family members. Sgt. Pilcher and his wife Nicki currently live in California where he is stationed at Camp Pendelton. Pilcher serves in United States Marine Corps.
Sgt. Pilcher was first deployed to the Middle East at the beginning of the war in Iraq two years ago. He is assigned to the First Battalion, Fourth Marine Division (1/4), Weapons Platoon. Pilcher returned from his first tour of duty to the states in September of 2003 and was again deployed to Iraq in May 2004.
Arriving in Ketchikan Wednesday afternoon, Sgt. Pilcher took a few moments to pose with his adoring mother, Gigi Pilcher in the airport parking lot.
