"LOCAL PIPSTERS"

This letter is in response to the "PIPS ALERT" that Mr. David G. Hanger wrote.

I wonder why there is so much hostility in all your letters & response to the people both in this community & out of this community warning them about the PIPS program????

I personally see that you have stated no facts to support your quick worded key stroke to call many of the local residents & business men who have ventured into this investment "Birdbrains". I would think that if a person in your profession and with your qualifications (in your own words - Two Master's degrees plus numerous accreditations and credentials. I have been practicing for 30 years, and I am highly qualified in my field. I am also a recognized forensic accountant. I am an expert in tax, finance, and statistics. I actually do know how to do a little more than just count.) wanted to give a word of advice or warning to the people in this community that it could have been done in a less attacking fashion.

My question to you is why do you care how anyone spends THEIR OWN MONEY?

As for your statement: "P.T. Barnum observed the phenomenon a long time ago, 'There's a sucker born every minute.' The only disconcerting aspect about that is how many of those suckers have decided to reside in Ketchikan."

I just have to say if people like Warren Buffett & Bill Gates had listened to all the people who had at anytime said anything along the lines as to what you have written, they would not be in the position they are now laughing all the way to the bank.

In the event that the PIPS Investment is not what we "LOCAL PIPSTERS" think it to be then it will be our loss not yours.

In closing, as my MOTHER has always said, "Nothing ventured nothing gained."
