Helicopter Logging
by Charlotte Glover

Dear Sitnews,

I can only imagine how noisy it must be at the Haven home in Bear Valley. I live approximately six city blocks away from Bear Valley in the Highlands subdivision and we have been humming the MASH theme song daily and waiting for Alan Alda to jump out of one of those helicopters into our driveway. It feels like we are living in a war zone. The helicopter is very loud and very distracting on a daily basis...something about that sound makes you think there is an emergency somewhere. I was especially irritated to get up last Sunday morning and hear the helicopter start up at 8:00am. I hope Alcan will show a little consideration for the residents in our area and let us get some extra sleep on the one or two days a week we have off. On the plus side, every preschooler in the area has been enjoying the show.
