Joy to the World

This past week end the Ketchikan Community Chorus, under the direction of Stephen Kinney, shared their music and talents with "The Songs of the People-around the world" as the title "Joy to the World" would suggest: Israeli, Serbian, American, French, Ukraine, Africa.

Songs from Stephen Foster and Seeger, country traditional that were very familiar - Just a wonderful musical journey of languages and harmonies. Some without accompaniment: some with piano; some with added string bass and percussion: and soloists throughout the chorus. Two quartet groups: Spirit Wind, all male, and Affinity, all female. Even an "audience sing along"with traditional Chrismas carols. A very stirring program; well done and enjoyed by both the audience and those who were a part of the "joy and songs".

Thank you KCC!
