The Filipino Community of Ketchikan recently has turned the gavel to a newly elected President Alex Millendez. His prowess in getting the group together will enhance a plan for the 2013 agenda that will entail lots of camaraderie within the membership group.

Erstwhile, Millendez took the statement that the usual membership fee of $25 will be pruned down to $15, coupled with a plan to hold the 1st Filipino entry into the July 4th of 2013 representation on the culture of the Philippines to vie at par with the tribes society in Ketchikan.

Millendez is a person with a no-holds-barred friendly approach. He is open to whatever his incumbency as President catering the needs of its membership, the outlaying of weekly socials among the senior citizens ballroom dancing.

Perhaps Millendez can and will see more improvements in the cooperative manner that the migrant number of Filipino fish processors work in various Fish Processing Plants, not only in Ketchikan, but in the vicinity as well.
