RESPONSIBLITY
By Pamela Graff

Just before noon today [Thursday] I received a phone call from Houghtaling the school my daughter attends 2nd grade, stated that while waiting for the bus at Ketchikan Lakes Road and Deer Mount around 8am a dog had jumped up on her and broken her front tooth. She was in pain after eating lunch when the food hit her nerve.

When I picked my daughter up to take her to the dentist she told me that a father had walked his daughter to the bus stop with his dog. The dog was on a leash but that did not stop him from controlling his dog. which jumped up on her and broke her front tooth My daughter told him her tooth was broken and he stated "she was OK."

I am furious that this man would make just a small deal of this incident and tell my daugher she was fine. The tooth was chipped all the way to the nerve.

I am hoping that this letter will be seen by the man so he can step forward and take responsiblity for his actions and his dog. The tooth was repaired with a nice bill and will have to be replaced throughout her life.

The dog is white with brown spots, the daughter attends Houghtaling, he lives on or near Park avenue if you know this man urge him to do the right thing and take responsiblity.
