Placement of the Christmas Tree
By Denise Buker

Wasn't there an announcement in the paper about the placement of this year's Christmas tree?

I remember reading about it being placed in the new pavillion because there is work being done on the dock near the Visitor's Bureau. I also remember reading that the Mayor's of both the borough and city were involved in planning the "Lighting of the Tree."

As I also remember, the tree ceremony has not taken place for a few years as well. So, I think we should commend these folks for TRYING this year!! But, it is never easy to please everyone, even when it was public information as to the plan for the tree this year.

I was happy to see the pictures of the people celebrating the lighting the tree in the paper and hear that there was a lot of fun things happening down there.

Hopefully everyone can enjoy the tree where it stands THIS year and have a great Holiday Season. Merry christmas and Happy New Year to everyone here in our town of Ketchikan.
