Christmas Tree

Dear Editor Sitnews,

Am I the only person to notice the Christmas tree and its location is so far out of view that no one may gaze upon it unless parked facing west on the City dock? Which by the way would run counter to the way the parking spaces are laid.

Why is the tree so well hidden from public view? Could it be the Mayor's fault? Christmas is a CHRISTIAN holiday after all.

Now I realize that we needed to put the tree somewhere, but folks, this is rediculous. The tree is not even in plain view; if it were placed in the same area, there are several locations where it may be seen by passersbys, whether walking or driving. Such as closer to the street, not behind another useless construct, put up for the tourist trade.

LET US DO BETTER NEXT YEAR, AND MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL,

ALAN R. (RUDY) MCGILLVRAY
