During the last 2 weeks our youngest daughter, Molly Benson and husband, Mike, have been staying here with us as they combine a business and family visiting trip. As we catch up on news about friends and other family in Ketchikan we continue to hear more stories about Molly's love for Mike's dog, Buddy. There is no doubt by anyone that Buddy enjoys an abundance of care and attention. However, on the very best days of all in his life, he goes to work with Molly at Murray Pacific. Undeniably he has gathered his own fan club there at the store, including customers and the "family" of employees. Consequently Buddy's day to day life with Molly might just be about the best a dog can have. Theirs has become another one of those special friendships between a young woman and her (husband's) dog.

Naturally it goes without saying that Molly wanted Buddy to have only the best of care while on this trip. She wanted Buddy to have the same matchless care and attention she gives him. Her sister Betsy seemed to be her best choice for being up to the task. Betsy is a dog lover herself of course very concerned about Buddy's well being during Molly's absence. So she determined to give Buddy the best of her world at her full time work at Petro Marine. She balanced her responsibilities at work and Buddy's care by making arrangements with Petro Marine to bring Buddy to work with her. Well in no time it seems as though some customers coming in to Petro Marine recently have been commenting, "That dog looks just like the one at Murray Pacific." Or, "What's that dogs name? It can't be Buddy."

Molly laughs as she tells us how Betsy smiles for a minute before she explains about Buddy. "Molly and I are sisters."

For the second time in their lives, two sisters have been able to share and lavish all of the love and care for another special dog, Buddy
