Wood Removal
By John Beck

I have had two people mention to me that there are state laws regarding tree removal from right of way in the State of Alaska. I live on the south end and I have noticed that most of the trees that have been removed are being resold at $300 a truck load by a trucking subcontractor.

I have been told that the law states that the trees are to go to the residents of the state. Does anyone know if such a law exists? Maybe I should contact my new State Representative.
