I truly enjoyed your story "Ignore Blizzard---Return to
ship" by Sid Morris of the "Sea Queen" Acushnet
and the rescue effort on the SS Fort Mercer and SS Pendleton.
Thanks for sharing it.
I intend to pass it along to
my grandson this afternoon. He leaves January 1st for his first
USCG ship..... USCG Acushnet WMEC167. As you know she is still
serving our country in Ketchikan.
I couldn't be more proud of
my grandson (OS3 Thomas Kotrba) or this great ship. Again thanks
for sharing and I hope to someday visit the ship and Ketchikan.
