"Slowpokes" in Ketchikan

I was back for my 20th reunion this summer, and had a blast. One thing I will comment on is this. Ketchikan needs to do away with all the drama of short "lanes" of racing area that was created by widening Tongass. Take away the light at Washington, and go back to the way life used to be. 15,000 people do not live there any longer, and too much double road is crammed onto that tiny piece of highway giving people with "lead feet" - ya you know who you are - room to push you all over the place. I'm surprised someone hasn't been run over yet! Take your time people, it's an island, enjoy it! I always did.... as I was driving back and forth, back and forth, etc... People used to laugh at me, but I love Ketchikan, and that was one of the things I found special about it. Get back to the basics, and re-think the way Tongass is now. All it's doing is causing more aggitation with drivers that think they are gonna make it to the light before you do!

Happy Holidays and please drive safe! Peace!
