“We’re excited to have Jo join our team. Her leadership style fits very well with the way I like to run my company, giving us extra hands to carry our growth forward. She has hit the ground running and will be an asset to each of our offices, as well as our clients, with her extensive background in the drug screening industry. We could not have made a better selection for this very broad position.” says Renee Schofield, TSS CEO.
McGuire is an international speaker on drug screening, particularly with regard to the marijuana legalization in several states. She has keynoted several conferences in regards to marijuana and the workplace, advises policy makers on employer’s rights to a safe and drug-free workplace, and provides certified training for the drug screening industry. She served on the Governor’s Task Force in Colorado during the recent constitutional amendment in her home state and chairs the Marijuana Education and Outreach committee of the Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association (DATIA).
“I am thrilled to be a part of the TSS family. Not only do I believe in the mission and values of this company, but also because the work is so very important to public health and safety for our communities. It is always amazing to share a passion with people and see what profound accomplishments can be achieved when we blend our ideas and skills.” notes McGuire.
TSS Inc is a multi-faceted occupational health and safety company, headquartered in Ketchikan, Alaska. The company also maintains offices in Juneau and Craig, AK, Keokuk, IA, Quincy, IL and Hannibal, MO.
In other TSS news, Ketchikan resident Renee Schofield and Lauren Reichman of the Keokuk, IA office have both recently completed training in Portland, OR and have been named Certified Occupational Safety Specialists. The training consisted of extensive OSHA regulation education, risk analysis, accident investigation, hazard identification and development of company safety programs.
“As TSS continues to grow and expand in the safety category, the investment in the training of our staff is imperative. We are fortunate to be able to offer such great opportunities to our staff, that will assist our clients in their endeavors. Small companies cannot usually afford to have a full time safety manager on staff. Utilizing TSS has become popular, in that we stay on top of the regulations, we can come to their location and they don’t have the total expense of a full time employee. It’s a win-win for everyone, says Renee Schofield, CEO of TSS, Inc.”
Reichman is one of TSS’s newest employees. “I am so excited to get to work. There are lots of challenges in keeping people safe and I am looking forward to bringing my skills to the table to help employers minimize risk and increase productivity.” Reichman also is studying to add CPR/First Aid instruction to her tool box. “I am fortunate to work for a company that is dedicated to workplace and community safety, she said.”
