Identity theft

If it can happen to me, it can happen to you. We had customers all summer long telling me they had been told online that we were full and wouldn't you like to stay at one of the other local choices. I couldn't figure it out because we showed availability.

About a week ago, a customer sitting at the bar called me over saying he wanted to show me something. Our website is www.narrowsinn.com but the website he pulled up was www.thenarrowsinnketchikan.com. It was our picture, our detail, and our reviews. At the end of the site was a 1-800 number. It was not ours.

When it was dialed a nice Oriental lady came on and said the Narrows was full, but there was availability at some of the other local hotels and bed and breakfasts. I am horrified because in my research of this company, this has been going on a year. The company is in Ireland.

Please find it in your hearts to send an email to abuse@fabulous.com and register your outrage. I have no idea how much business we have lost due to their immoral, unethical behavior. I don't think the local hotels knew anything. It's several levels up in advertising and collection of fees.

Many thanks,
