Get Out The Vote 2
By Students

November 01, 2010
Monday PM

Dear Editor:

I am in the fifth grade. I go to T.S.A.S. I noticed that not that many people are voting. In fact, only one out of four people voted in the last election.

People should get off the couch, drop the remote, and come VOTE! Voting is IMPORTANT! Some people care about who wins. In some places people only win by two or three votes. Just think how even your vote counts. I think voting is important, and you should too! Vote!

Dear Editor:

I am a student at Tongass School of Arts and Sciences, and we are studying the Constitution and things about the government. We are concerned about the lack of voting here in Alaska. I know that voting is extremely important! Our government system would fall apart without voting; we could turn into a monarchy! Anyways, I want to get the word out. VOTE!

Dear Editor:

I am a fifth grader from TSAS. My class and I are encouraging people to get out and vote. Without voting out whole government system will fall apart and it will turn into plutocracy, monarchy, or even dictatorship. So get out and vote because every vote counts.

Dear Editor:

I am a sixth grader at the Tongass School of Arts and Sciences. We’re studying the Constitution. I think it’s a fascinating subject. It helps our country a lot, and it’s important. People should get out of the house and vote.

Voting is important because you’re making a difference.   You’re helping your state, your country, and your world. It does not matter whom you vote for. Vote for whichever candidate you think is best. The important thing is that you vote.

If kids could vote, my entire school would be making a huge and wonderful difference. My friends and I cannot vote, but we can encourage older people to vote. Every vote counts. You could be making a big change with your vote.

Local elections were a month ago. Less than twenty-five percent voted! That is not enough!  People need to vote. It helps a lot. I encourage all of the adults to vote. This state could be a better place with your help.
