Bears and Gators
By Carolyn Simmons

We who live in Florida feel the same way about gators as you feel about the bears. Our nemesis is the many gators who live in the wild but are being forced out of their native land by developing encroachment of civilization.

All too often they are fed by well meaning tourists but this causes them to lose their fear of people and expect food from everyone. They live in every pond, ditch, river and lake in Florida. I haven't had one in our pool and hope to never see one in there.

Do not leave food in your car. Good luck!!!
