Thank you Rotary!

I just wanted to let Rotary know how much we enjoyed the Trunk or Treat event on Halloween. It was a very clever idea and a perfect solution to stay out of the wind and rain. Thankfully, we were lucky to have some great weather Wednesday night, but if it weren't the Rotary event would have been our only stop. With so many Ketchikan traditions falling by the wayside, it's nice to see something new come along that is a boost to city morale.

I hope that this event continues - and that an invitation to participate is announced to the community early on in 2008. My family and I would have a great time decorating our car and giving out candy! Unlike the busy homeowners on Jackson Street, we never get trick-or-treaters. We want to join in the fun!

Thanks again Rotary for a great event that I hope will become a Ketchikan tradition.
