Letting down the children...
By Frances C. Natkong

A question in general regarding the safety of children all over: Can someone tell me why it is that a parent would willingly stay with the parent who sexually molested his/her children? Unless the parent knows about the molestation and is condoning it I don't understand why the parent would willingly put his/her children in harms way by staying with the abusive parent.

It's a sad day when we can't protect children from sexual molestation or physical and mental abuse. In thinking about how society turns the other way when children are being hurt mentally and physically, I shudder for the children. Children are so innocent and believe it is our job to protect them from harm when we fail miserably at the job of protecting them.

It's so sad we are letting down the children. Could someone please tell me why this is happening? Children are our future and we are letting our future down by condoning abuse.

Time to stand up and say "NO MORE! WE WILL FIGHT FOR THE CHILDREN, IT'S NOT A PARENT'S RIGHT TO SEXUALLY ABUSE OR OTHERWISE ABUSE THE CHILDREN!" It gives me a helpless feeling when I hear about abuse of children. I beg you, all of you to help children everywhere no matter who they are. Thank you.
