Alaskans Investing in Alaska

Patrick I am with you on this one. I have said for a long time that if the Lower 48 didn't like what we are doing that we should secede from the union but this idea is almost as good. So far the federal government has NOT let us drill for our oil, killed the timber industry in Southeast and is still trying to kill the fishing. They have allowed the environmental terrorists to have their way in this state to the detriment of the working man and his family. I think we should not renew a single lease and start doing what we what with our own resources. I like the idea of building our own pipeline and not shipping our gas and oil to the lower 48. The lower 48 states don't have this much trouble getting done what they want and they don't have to take a ferry to the airport. It is time we started standing up for what we want and tell the government to get out of our face, or else. I hope that the new governor we elected has the guts to stand up and let us be counted. So when the United States Of The Lower 48 Gets hungry for oil they can come and buy some from us since we will have it.

I grew up in California with oil derricks everywhere and I didn't see the government telling them they couldn't drill where they wanted or needed to. So why do we let them do that to us? If someone came onto your property and told you that you couldn't do something would you let them get away with it? Let's stand up and be counted.
