Here's a New Idea

So enough on the Hate, Fear and Greed topic. Here s a new thought for everyone to chew on.

I read in the Anchorage Daily News that the people of Palmer are up in arms over a proposed 1200 to 2200 bed State Prison in their front yard. I have an idea. Why not build it on Gravina?

After all, the Governor and our local Chamber of Commerce are all for development on the island so why not a prison that would bring YEAR ROUND employment and a steady flow of income from both the State and the private sector? It could be Alaska s version of Alcatraz.

What's that you say? We don't have enough electricity for a development of that size? Oh that's right, while our politicians were cramming a bridge down our throats; the Swan Lake-Tyee Lake Intertie was all but forgotten.

Oh well, I suppose we can always open up some jewelry stores on Gravina, after all, they don't require much electricity.
