Consolidation Ballot Due By Nov. 21st

I received my official absentee ballot Monday in the mail. I find this "Official Absentee Ballot" very confusing. I am willing to bet that many residents who receive this mail will toss it in the trash since they are not absent to vote; they aren't going to be absent; and may feel it doesn't apply to them. Whoever dreamed up this mail- in ballot with the envelope title " Official Absentee Ballot", in my opinion, must have an agenda going; and is Pro- Consolidation of the Borough and City as one government for home-rule Municipality of Ketchikan. How many times has this been put to a vote, and voted down? Is this confusing to anyone else? Mail-in ballots are very costly. Who decided that the vote shall be by mail-in?

I am not in favor of consolidation, my taxes are high enough and so are my children's taxes. I ,again, will vote "No", and hope other people aren't confused, or have a problem voting this "Official Absentee Ballot." Please do not throw this ballot in the trash, vote it!
