Woodard has been an employee of KGH for over nine years and has been a key player in the computerization of the hospital's workflow. He offers desktop, network and wireless expertise; he equips new employees with computers, troubleshoots problems, and upgrades systems according to the organization's plan. When new technologies are launched he is integral in providing the computer equipment necessary for the processes to take place. He is one of a small team of employees who share the responsibility of being on call 24 hours per day to deal with urgent computer issues.

The employee who nominated Woodard stated, "Many people do not realize it, but Ray comes in during the late evening hours working on upgrades to servers, replacing key networking equipment, and other tasks that keep patient medical information at our fingertips. As a co-worker you could not ask for a better person to work with. He is kind and caring and always there when needed. Ray really puts the 'Team' in the word teamwork."

The award of Employee of the Month at KGH recognizes those who regularly go above and beyond what is required, to provide high quality service to patients, visitors and co-workers.
