A Call for Entries for the 2004 Alaska State Community Service Award

The Alaska State Community Service Commission (ASCSC) will be recognizing extraordinary volunteers for their commitment and service to their local communities. The ASCSC is dedicated to working together to foster, support and promote the ethic of service and volunteerism, and to engage Alaskans of all ages and backgrounds in tangible, results-oriented community projects

The recipients must have demonstrated the ethic of volunteerism through their dedication and commitment to a specific cause, and have provided exemplary service to a community within Alaska.

The areas of service to be considered as volunteer work will be education, mentoring, environmental protection or areas of specific needs that have enhanced the lives of individuals and their communities. Deadline for application is 5:00 p.m. December 3, 2004.
