The Ketchikan Health Fair will be Saturday, Nov. 8th from 8 am-1 pm at the Plaza Mall.

Pre-registration will be Friday, Nov. 7, 4-7pm at the Plaza Mall. The first 50 to register will receive FREE the Healthwise Handbook (limit 1/family)

A new feature of the Health Fair this year is Doc Talks. These free presentations by local physicians are:

8:30 am - Pre-natal Care, why it's important - Robert Burnett, MD
9:15am - SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) - Jean Snyder, MD
10:00am - Snoring/Sleep Apnea - Vicki Malurkar, MD
10:45am - Heart Health - Stacy Schulz, MD
11:30am - Menopause - Eileen Small, CNM
12:15pm - Arthritis - Bruce Schwartz, MD

Red Cross CPR Certificate Classes: $10 from 9-12am, 12-3pm

Regular Health Fair Features for adults (18 & over):

• $35 Blood chemistry screening (Includes cholesterol) Fast for 12 hours but drink plenty of water
• $25 Prostate blood test (PSA~no physical exam)
• $30 Thyroid test
• Flu shots & Pneumonia shots: $6 or Medicare card (over age 14)
• Free Screenings: Blood pressure, height, weight, vision, hearing
• Ketchikan Police Department Bike Safety & helmets
