IFA operations manager Stu Vincent advised that on these five Wednesdays the ferry will depart Ketchikan at 6:00 pm, instead of the regular 3:35 pm daily departure for Hollis. This will enable Prince of Wales Island residents to make a roundtrip on the same day, with seven hours in Ketchikan.

Another schedule change approved by the IFA board is to sail from Ketchikan for Hollis on Christmas Day and New Years Day at 11:30 am. This will enable passengers to be at their holiday destination earlier and for crew members to spend more time with their families.

The M/V Prince of Wales departs Hollis at 8:00 am daily for Ketchikan. Running time is three hours in each direction. Passenger facilities aboard the ferry include a forward observation lounge, solarium, children's play area and a restaurant. The car deck holds 30 vehicles.
