"We the people..."

Dear Editor,

Our symbol, the Bald Eagle, stands for courage and freedom to look ahead. Dr. Carson once said “the eagle has a left wing and a right wing but it takes both wings working together for the Bald Eagle to fly.” Americans uniting together have the ability to reign in the overreaching federal government so our freedoms may be preserved.

Our nation’s debt is crippling our economy and our foreign relations are volatile, at best, not to mention the many scandals such as IRS, NSA, Fast and Furious, Bengazi and illegal immigration. They are all taking a toll on our nation.

The Constitution provides a tool for Americans and their State Legislatures, Article V. “We the people” have the capacity to propose Amendments for ratification to the Constitution. An application for “limiting the power and jurisdiction of the federal government” is proposed by 34 states and submitted to Congress to call a convention. Amendments are then debated and proposed by the States, then 38 states must ratify the Amendments before becoming a part of the Constitution.

Let’s go “Bald Eagle” on Washington, unite and fight for freedom. Stand up for Article V, go to www.conventionofstates.com

For Liberty,
