Whale Watching
By Seth Gross

I live in Portland Oregon but lived in Ketchikan for several years during the 90's and I still visit regularly. I am a huge fan of the KPU Ketchikan web cams and look at them at least once a day.

While looking a few moments ago I spotted what looked like a whale blowing. I wasn't sure if it was a camera glitch or if that's what I was really seeing. When the web cam reloaded it became obvious that I was watching whales frolic off the Tongass dock.

What a treat! Watching whales in Ketchikan from over 800 miles away!

Thanks for SitNews - it helps keep me updated about K-town life!
