To the Editor:

Alaskans need to be united against outside interest groups who are trying to buy our U.S. Senate seat. Thousands of dollars from Californians, Nevadans, Pennsylvanians and many other outsiders are being poured into Joe Miller's campaign for Alaska's Senate seat. Previous involvement from outside groups have prevented us from utilizing our State's natural resources. Once again these OUTSIDERS want to involve themselves in Alaska's business by removing our influential Senator Lisa Murkowski. As a native born Alaskan, she knows ALL of Alaska well. Every vote she has cast during her tenure has been in Alaska's best interest.

We need Lisa. Her membership on numerous important Senate committees particularly the "Energy Committee" is very important for Alaska. It is the respect and influence that Lisa has garnered in Washington that make the OUTSIDERS want her removed. California, with its vast environmental population surely does not want Lisa to push for the use of our natural resources.

Lisa Murkowski was mentored by Ted Stevens and has lived in many parts of our state. She understands us and is the ideal person to be our senator.

Write-in LIsa Murkowski for U.S. Senate and don't forget to fill in the oval on your Ballot! Take a stand and don't let OUTSIDERS dictate our future.

Sincerely,

Olga Simpson
