RE: NO MORE BONDS UNTIL WE PAY THE OLD ONES OFF

Chas, when are you going to run for office? You will have my vote! Your common sense approach is just what we need...here in Ketchikan as well as in the state and federal government. It is a basic principle that anyone coming out of the Great Depression or the WWII era would agree with: YOU DON'T SPEND MONEY YOU DON'T HAVE.

And you are correct that the waiting for the fudning for the things you want brings wisdom in choosing the best way to use those funds. Come on, people! This borrowing money to live a higher lifestyle than we can afford is what screwed up our economy to begin with...both on an individual and nationwide scale.

Finally, when you don't rush off to buy every shiny thing you become enamored with, you learn to appreciate what you have. And, perhaps, spend more time on the important things in life: not STUFF, but real life...family, friends, principles, honor, ethics, inner and natural beauty, relationships, love, spirituality.

That's my say. VOTE JOE MILLER!
