Dear Editor,
With foreclosure and bankruptcy becoming shameful words to many
of us, I'm in shock to discover that on September 30 our Federal
contracting office awarded a $40,000 contract to paint an oil
portrait with frame included of the Department of Commerce Secretary
Guitierrez.
Wasn't September 29, the real Black Monday for our US Commerce?
This portrait caption should be a field day for our editorial
cartoonist.
When will Americans accept our" levee is dry?" No more
American pie and political portraits.
