I sure agree with Penny Eubank's letter about Heidi Ekstrand's
story on the Burmans and their bears.
Heidi was a wonderful writer
when she worked for the Ketchikan Daily News too. Hope we hear
from her more frequently.

EKSTRAND - There's been no shortage of bear stories in Ketchikan
this year. Bears in garbage. Bears in cars. Bears in houses.
But has any bear incident inspired a performance of hospital
operating room personnel singing, a cappella, something akin
to "Happy Wandering Bears Dine on Stinky Diapers"?
