Shame on Would-Be Thief
By Jennifer Brewer

October 18, 2006
Wednesday

I just wanted to say "shame on you" to the two women who tried to steal a chair from our front yard in the middle of the night. Thanks to a good, caring neighbor; your efforts were stopped.

We live in a neighborhood where we used to be able to leave our doors unlocked, and keys in our cars. A friendly neighborhood where we all got together for cookouts and parties, and our kids could play together without being threatened or bullied.

With your act of dishonesty, our security and comfort in our neighborhood is threatened.

I hope you're very proud of yourself.
