Vote Ed Plute for Mayor

I believe that Ed Plute is a hard working blue collar worker
running for Ketchikan City Mayor. I would encourage all the
people that are tired of paying off all the Bond debts and sale
tax increases to vote for Ed Plute!
Don't vote for incumbent Mayor Bob Weinstien, he is representing
big business. Mayor Weinstein is more concerned with building
docks for the tourist industries, ship yard, timber, fishing
and hospital at tax payer expense. Big business won't invest
their money but they will suck you dry if they can and hide behind
the Economic Development shield. Examples: Private interests
want you to spend $315 plus boon doggle bridge to Gravina Island
via Pennock Island, Consolidation and Annexation- so private
interests can suck them dry too for services they will never
receive in their life time. Sales tax, hotel tax, tourist tax,
White Cliff tax, when is it going to stop? Vote out Mayor Weinstein
and City Council people that support big business and are taxing
you right to the poor house. You can't afford them anymore.
I believe Ed Plute is more concerned with the traditional roles
that local government should provide the basic needs of any community;
Police and Fire protection, water and sewer, Recreation, fixing
pot holes in the existing roads and keeping local taxes working
in Ketchikan only.
It is going to take the Democratic Party, Independent Party,
Green Party, Non-Partisan Party, Local Unions working together
to vote Ed Plute in as Mayor of Ketchikan and vote out the incumbents
in this next election. Time for positive change in Local Government.
In closing, I applaud and thank Mr. Ed Plute for standing up
for what he believes in. It takes a lot guts to run for Mayor
in Ketchikan. Lastly, I would like to see the Alaskan Native
vote support Mr. Ed Plute because it would be the right thing
to do. This is my opinion.
