Borough Assembly Elections

Dear Editor:
During this Assembly Election, I have heard the Assembly candidates
speak about "accountability" and "listening to
the community." I find it an interesting but significant
point that in all the ads only one candidate, Gregory Vickrey,
listed an e-mail address to which I could direct questions.
After the election, can we
expect our elected officials to answer questions, invite discussion
from the community, or return phone calls? Shame on us if we
don't expect accountability from those we elect to work for us.
