Mayor Michael Bloomberg has taken his shots at Wyoming and American Samoa for getting more than their fair share of homeland security funding -- and now he's fixing an icy glare on Alaska.

Bloomberg, a Republican who has clashed with members of his own party over distribution of anti-terror aid, was incensed by a Congressional Research Service report finding that Alaska gets $92 per resident in security cash while New York gets about a third of that per resident. So I did a little re-calculation for His Honor the Mayor (Even though he is supposed to be a financial wizard!) ..  This is what it costs the taxpayers for Homeland Security;

Cost per square mile that must be watched and protected - AK = $4  NYC = $175,000

Cost per mile of coastline or foreign border that must be protected - AK = $21  NYC = $3,751

So you see, New York IS getting its fair share after all!  Oh yes, there is one more statistic I came up with ..  Average IQ of politician - NYC = 25;  AK = 100!
