Boarded Windows Come Alive Again!
by Bobbie McCreary

October 06, 2004
Wednesday

Come and join your friends and have fun painting the boarded windows of the Diamonds International Building at the corner of Front and Mill. Sunday, October 10 from 10 am - 3 pm. No artistic ability required. The theme this year is Flora and Fauna (that's flowers and animals...well, you could have a couple of people too, if you wanted.)

We appreciate the sponsorship of KAAHC and Historic Ketchikan and thank Diamonds International and Talbott's for donations of paint and supplies.

And, please give me a call if you would like to participate in creating some permanent murals on the Bernard Passman windows. We have the 4 x 8 sheets of plywood primed and ready to go, plus paint and frames for the panels. Just need your ideas about how to represent the FUTURE of Ketchikan (of course, in the best way possible!) Call Bobbie McCreary at 225-2250. We'd like to cover up those ugly boards as soon as possible!
