If you need a boat, truck, computer, or maybe even a woodstove, now's the time to make an offer.

The Forest Service is currently accepting sealed bids as part of a Tongass-wide excess government property sale.

Property available for bid includes pickup trucks, suburbans, a van, boats, a skiff, outboard motors, furniture, computers, monitors, printers, scanners, woodstoves, copiers, and much more.

Bid packages are available at all Tongass Forest Service offices in Ketchikan, Sitka, Craig, Thorne Bay, Hoonah, Juneau, Petersburg and Wrangell.

People should mail or hand deliver their bids to the Tongass National Forest, Ketchikan Supervisor's Office, 648 Mission Street, Ketchikan, Alaska 99901. Facsimile (FAX) bids will not be accepted.

Bids will be accepted until 9 a.m. Nov. 17. Officials will begin reviewing the bids Nov. 17 and will notify the successful bidder in writing with a letter of acceptance and the bidder will then have 10 days after the date of award to pay for and remove the item.

More details on the bidding process and available items are included in the bid packages. For more information, call Angelina Lammers in Ketchikan at (907) 228-6277.
