Dan Bockhorst for Borough Assembly

By Michael Carney

Dan Bockhorst is the ultimate professional in regards to government issues in Alaska and has been since he was the Haines Manager at the start of his professional life. Some people in the community have been intimidated by Dan and that is understandable because those who have chose to write letters in opposition to Dan understand that they could not hold a candle to him in regards to his work ethic or his attention to detail. The Airport would not be where it is today with out Dan Bockhorst leadership and the Borough General Fund would not be either.

The Ketchikan Gateway Borough greatest advantage to attracting people and industries to move and operate in Ketchikan is its tax base. The people that say they never meet a tax dollar they didn't like to spend or use slogans like "fund to the cap" are your biggest enemy for the future of Ketchikan. I don't endorse people because they are cool or a nice person. I endorse them because they can read a budget and understand the impact on the community. Dan Bockhorst is that person and anyone that says different doesn't care about the community as a whole. This comes from a person that worked with him for years not someone that was on the losing side of issues with him.

Think about your taxes going up by an average of 15% across the board and just say NO! Vote Dan Bockhorst for Borough Assembly on October 2.
