(SitNews) Ketchikan, Alaska - Josh Dossett, Deputy Chief of Police, announced today that officers of the Ketchikan Police Department, with the assistance of the United States Coast Guard Investigative Service and Alaska Marine Lines, completed an investigation in reference to Methamphetamine importation and sale from Washington State to Ketchikan by Freddie ("JR") H. Williams Jr., 56 years of age, of Ketchikan.

According to information released by Deputy Chief Dossett, the investigation began earlier in September when Williams was identified by the Ketchikan Police Department as a significant supplier of large amounts of Methamphetamine locally, and a controlled purchase of a half ounce of Methamphetamine was completed from Williams.

Multiple search warrants were executed to conclude the investigation Tuesday (9/23/14) to include searches of Williams, his home, and a shipment that had arrived in Ketchikan, where approximately 110 grams of Methamphetamine was seized amongst his belongings. Also seized from Williams' home was approximately $4,000.00 in cash.

Deputy Chief Dossett said Williams was arrested and charged with two counts of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree for the sale of Methamphetamine as well as the possession of Methamphetamine with the intent to distribute.

Williams was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where he was held without bail.
