Closing Message from PATCHWorks
By Dawn Rauwolf for the PATCHWorks Board

September 17, 2011
Saturday

Since the early 1990's, PATCHWorks has been a voice in sharing the value and lessons of the 40  Developmental Assets.  Many in the community have been impacted by the asset message over the years.  PATCHWorks started as a group of committed community members interested in improving the overall health and wellness of Ketchikan.  All of the efforts to encourage parents, teachers, and community members to reach and support our youth have made a positive difference.

Given that many other groups have followed suit to make Ketchikan a healthy place to raise children, PATCHWorks feels its continued efforts may actually interfere with the energies of other organizations with similar visions.  As such, PATCHWorks is voluntarily dissolving.  While PATCHWorks may not operate organizationally, we know that our youth will be supported by the many dedicated Asset Builders of Ketchikan.

Thanks to all who have contributed to PATCHWorks, and to all who respect, honor and value our youth.

Sincerely,

Dawn R. Rauwolf
for the PATCHWorks Board of Directors
Ketchikan, AK
