Southeast Alaska Discovery Center Announces Winter Schedule
Friday Night Insight Program schedule available

(SitNews) Ketchikan, Alaska- Beginning Thursday, September 30, 2010 the Southeast Alaska Discovery Center will be open from 10:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Admission will be free through the end of April.

The Center features interpretive exhibits showcasing the natural and cultural history of Southeast Alaska. Families and teachers are welcome to request conservation education programs including checking-out our 25 updated education boxes. Special interpretive or educational tours and visits can be arranged.

The Southeast Alaska Discovery Center will again host the Friday Night Insight lecture series. Each week guest presenters will cover an array of topics on the natural and cultural heritage of Southeast Alaska. To download the program schedule for the 2010-2011 season, cick here (pdf).

The facility also houses an expansive 200 person multi-media Theater and a 40 person Learning Center available to lease for meetings and events.
