Educational Support Center Continues Services on Prince of Wales

Althought there have been rumors of the imminent closing of the UAS Ketchikan Educational Support Center on Prince of Wales, these rumors are incorrect. The center will continue to operate and serve students. UAS Ketchikan stated in a news release that it will continue service to Prince of Wales distance students through the UAS Ketchikan Educational Support Center.

Located in the CCA Building at 1330 Craig-Klawock Highway in Craig, Alaska, the center offers financial aid counseling, one-on-one college and career counseling, coursework advising on a semester-to-semester basis, math and English placement testing, tutoring and technical support, Internet and audio conference access, computer assistance, assistance in accessing distance-delivered coursework, and copier use for students.

Center hours from September 9, 2009 through October 2, 2009 are:

Monday & Saturday 9:00am - 3:00pm
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 12:00pm - 3:00pm & 4:00pm - 7:00pm

Center hours from October 3, 2009 and continuing through May 15, 2009 are:

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 4:00pm - 8:00pm
Saturday 8:00am - 4:00pm
