Dear Ketchikan,

The USA Swimming Facilities Development Department is pleased to learn of the community's interest in developing a multiple pool indoor aquatic facility that would include pools for not only competitive swimming but also pools and programs dedicated to water safety for children and health and wellness for adults.

Our department within the Club Development Division of USA Swimming facilitates the development of total aquatic programming venues to meet the goals of the community. While many facilities designed in the not-too-distant past had one pool and one focus, having a multiple pool complex is exactly what every community needs.

This is an exciting time for USA Swimming. The growth of the sport and development of new facilities will continue to fill the pipe line of future Olympic Champions and the overall general healthy lifestyles of the local community. Best of luck to you and your project.

Sincerely,

Mick Nelson
